5. 발표 내용

The toughening mechanisms of the polymer nanocomposites have been focused, to enhance

the fracture toughness and fatigue crack resistance of the polymer nanocomposites. 

Even though the nano/microscale energy dissipation mechanisms (such as the interfacial 

debonding, plastic nanovoid growth, and plastic shear band mechanisms) have been reported 

as the toughening mechanisms of the polymer nanocomposites, the quantitatively predictive 

models for the fracture toughness and fatigue crack growth of the polymer nanocomposites 

have not been developed. In this study, the multiscale modeling framework to predict the fracture 

toughness and the fatigue crack growth of the polymer nanocomposites is proposed.
