5. 연사소개
Alperen Günay is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Bilkent University. He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from METU in 2014, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign (UIUC) under the guidance of Dr. Nenad Miljkovic in 2016 and 2019, respectively. His graduate work focused on thermal management, energy conversion, interfacial science, and renewable energy. He worked as a postdoctoral project researcher at The University of Tokyo between 2019 and 2021 under Dr. Junichiro Shiomi where he worked on passive cooling technologies, silicon-based thermoelectrics, and nanoscale transport. He was an assistant professor at the Middle East Technical University (METU) between 2021-2023. His laboratory focuses on developing green and passive devices and/or solutions for thermal systems. He is a recipient of the TUBITAK International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers (BIDEB 2232).
